City Harvest Community Services Association’s (CHCSA) Donation Amendment Policy
1. Purpose
We at CHCSA are grateful for every donation we receive, as it enables us to continue our mission. We strive to use donor funds wisely and efficiently. The purpose of this policy is to provide transparency, protect the integrity of the donation process, establish consistent guidelines for managing donation amendments, and build trust among donors.
This policy applies to monetary donations received by CHCSA.
2. Provisions
Currently, it is stated on CHCSA’s donation portal that all donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
However, in the event that a donor wishes to request for an amendment to their donation, he has to put up a donation amendment request within 4 weeks from the date of donation and we will evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds will be issued under the following conditions (but not limited to):
1. Donor error: Donor might have entered the wrong amount or selected the wrong cause on donor portal and made a mistake while making the donation.
2. Technical errors: Technical errors such as a donor being charged twice for the same donation or a donation being made with an incorrect amount.
3. Fraudulent activity: When a donation was made fraudulently, without the donor’s authorization, or through an unauthorized payment method.
3. Terms and Conditions
In the event that a donor wishes to amend a donation, please take note of the following;
- Minimum donation amount that the donation could be adjusted to is S$1, or donation amendment request will not be processed if the amount falls below S$1.
- If amendment involves increasing the amount of donation, please make a new donation via CHCSA’s donation portal.
- If a donation amendment request is made outside the 4 weeks window, approval for request is on case-by-case basis and to be approved by the Executive Director (or the Administrative Manager, in the absence of the Executive Director).

If your donation amendment request is approved, refund will be done via bank transfer within 8 weeks from donation amendment request date.
